Resident #23 was admitted with diagnoses including Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), urinary tract infection, pneumonia, type 2 diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The resident was placed on droplet precautions due to RSV, but this was not reflected in the care plan. Despite having a sign and isolation cart indicating droplet precautions, the care plan did not document the initiation and expected duration of these precautions. Interviews with nursing staff and the Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist confirmed that the care plan lacked the necessary information regarding the resident's isolation status, leading to incomplete documentation of the resident's care needs.
